- Alaska Governor Sarah Palin swings through Central New York, having lunch in Seneca Falls before participating in Founder’s Day events (commemerating the life of Auburn native and Alaska purchaser William Seward) in Auburn, NY. Palin participated in a museum fundraiser and is travelling to the downstate region today to participate in fundraisers for persons with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Stars and Stripes has an article on Salina (Syracuse area) native Chuck Iavarone, who has purchased an American Basketball Association franchise that will begin in Syracuse in the near future.
